The Prime Minister surprised everyone by suddenly reaching Leh this morning. The country's intelligence agencies had made considerable preparations for this tour. The Prime Minister's visit was carried out like a secret mission of intelligence agencies.
It is said that this visit of PM was kept so secret that even the field formations of the Army in Ladakh and Leh were not informed about the arrival of PM. Their preparation was limited to a VIP visit. Only after the PM's special plane left Delhi, it was informed in Leh that the Prime Minister was coming among them.
Even after the PM's plane landed, when we asked top officials of the Ministry of Defense about this, they were also unaware that the PM had reached there. It was the same officer who had made considerable preparations for the visit of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday and later said that the visit of Rajnath has been postponed and rescheduled again.
Many top Army officers in Delhi were also unaware of the PM and Chief's visit till the morning news came.
