Air India will operate 70 flights for those returning home from the US and Canada in the third phase of the Vande India Mission. These flights will operate from 11 June to 30 June. Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has given this information in a tweet late Monday night.
He said that more flights would be operated under the Vande Bharat Mission to bring Indians stranded abroad and willing to return home. Currently, Air India will operate 70 flights to USA and Canada from June 11 to June 30, 2020 under Phase III of the mission.
Explain that the Central Government started bringing indigenous people trapped abroad during the lockdown due to Corona epidemic from May 7 under the Vande Bharat Mission. Under this, foreign nationals and valid visa holders were also allowed to book seats.
As part of the first phase of the mission, Air India and its subsidiary Air India Express operated 64 flights between May 7 and May 14 to bring home 14,800 Indians from 12 countries. The second phase of the mission began on 16 May.
