LOCKDOWN Extended till diwali ? | PM Modi mentioned Chhath twice in his 16 minute speech

Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again addressed the nation. During this, he also made a special announcement discussing the situation caused by Corona. The Prime Minister announced to extend the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana for a few more months. However, during his address, there was more mention of migrants, farmers, and festivals especially Diwali and Chhath.

During his nearly 16-minute speech, PM Modi twice mentioned Bihar's major festival Chhath Puja. Since then, his address has also been seen to be associated with the election of Bihar, because this year the assembly elections are to be held in Bihar in October-November, and Chhath Puja is also organized in Bihar on a large scale in November itself.

In his speech, Modi also laid more emphasis on farmers and migrants and if one looks at the figures, more than 30 lakh migrants have returned to their home states from different states during the lockdown in Bihar. In such a situation, this small address of PM is considered very important.

In his address, the Prime Minister extended the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana till November and said that this season is rainy and during this time the work of agriculture is more and at the same time different festivals in the country like Gurpurnima, Sawan, 15 August, Rakshabandhan, Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam, Navratri, Durga Puja, Dussehra, Deepavali and Chhath Puja are celebrated.

The PM said, therefore, we have decided that till Diwali and Chhath every member of the family of poor laborers will be given five kilograms of wheat or rice and one kilogram of gram free to a family every month.
